Foundations of Real-World Economics
Foundations of Real-World Economics covers the philosophy of economic enquiry; the pursuit of well-being within our planetary boundaries; and realistic approaches to trade and development, macroeconomic policy and the role of markets and governments in resolving economic issues.

Foundations of Modern Money, Institutions and Markets
This course covers the main elements in a modern monetary system; interactions between public and private balance sheets; fiscal and monetary policy and the importance of monetary sovereignty, and the foreign exchange market, financial instability and international debt. Fill out a short online form to apply for one or both of our upcoming twelve week courses. Lecture videos are available to watch on demand, and you can join the live tutorial discussions held on zoom across multiple time zones (which are also recorded).
There are no compulsory assessments in these courses and you don’t need to have an economics degree to participate. Trimester dates are 3rd June to 25th August and 16th September to 8th December 2024.
